Greetings, I have a 2008 Suburban. I ordered the cross rails for the roof rack, and to install them, the instructions say to remove the cap at the rear of the roof rack, then slide the rails in. Problem is, it doesn't say how to remove the cap. Looking at it, it looks like I have to remove a star bolt which I assume fastens to to the roof. Can anyone confirm this s the case, and if so, possibly know from experience what size driver I will need to find to remove the bolt. My dealer was no help at all, except to say they would put the rails in for me.....for $54. Crazy.....
Any help would be great, hitting the road next week with our new roof cargo carrier.

Welcome to the forum.
Don't know the size of the Torx wrence but that's all you need to do is remove the end piece on both sides and slide the cross rails in and replace the ends.
