Define "newer."

A 2001? Yup
A 2006? Yup, but you may have some BCM issues with features like memory or heated seats.
2007 and up? Nope

Thank you 'intheburbs'.
The seats in my 2000 Suburban are extremely comfortable. We refer to them as Lazy Boy seats. They don't make them like that anymore, which has me holding back from buying something new. Thinking about a 2017-2018 Tahoe. I just hate to give up my Lazy Boys... lol.

I can't speak for the '17-'18 models, but my 2008 (GMT900, built 2007-2014) seat is extremely comfortable. Now, I'll agree that the third row in my 2001 was MUCH more comfortable and supportive than the third row in my 2008. But the driver's seat? I have no complaints. And we do a lot of long road trips, sometimes 600-700 miles in a day, so I'm logging a lot of long-haul seat time. On our vacation back in 2017, we logged over 5400 miles in 17 days. My butt, back and legs had no complaints.
