Hey guys!

I currently have an 07 tahoe......from an 03 yukon.. love these suv's... im currently racking up a ton of miles on my 07 tahoe... im looking at getting an 01 tahoe 5.3L, just for the commute...
anyone know of any known problems on them? it has 117,000 miles on it....

thought i would get some advice before i jump into it..

I have an 01, 5.3 V8, LT Autoride. Mines at 125k miles, running strong, change the oil often and I've never had any major, or really any problems. Love the thing to death. Its stock right now, but I'm looking at doing some engine mods.

I agree with Zirkle. I had an 01 LT Tahoe. No major problems at 155K. I just sold it for $6900. Mine was made in Texas, i would avoid the ones assembled in Mexico. They tend to have problems. The vin will start with 3G if it is made in Mexico.
