Intermittent electrical issue
Hi all, lately my 05 Tahoe has been frustrating the@#$%^& out of me. It started a couple of weeks ago, the truck would start, but quit as soon as i let go of the key, several times. I finished up having it towed to a dealer, they couldn't find anything wrong and said it could be an aftermarket alarm system, that i didn't know existed. They removed it.
this past week on the way to work, the dash lights and radio all went out, then came back on, followed by all the warning lights, they eventually went out and just the battery light and service stability system was left.
When i got to work, i turned it off, restarted and all was good, no issue since. I drive this all across Canada, some places without cell service. I'm worried about its reliability.
I've since changed the ignition switch. Still no issue.
Any ideas?

Sounds like you have a lot of troubleshooting ahead of you.
Grab a wiring diagram http://www.bbbind.com/tsb-wiring-diagrams-database/
Go over all the wiring related to ignition and look for problems. Maybe the dealer damaged a wire when they removed the alarm system.
