Default Leak at oil filter due to high pressure.

I had to replace the oil pan on a 2003 5.3L Chevy Tahoe. Now there is a continuous leak of oil from the oil filter (have replaced and tightened the oil filter many, many times). It appears that there is too much pressure at the oil filter, yet the sending unit reports that the pressure is normal.
Any suggestions as to what is going on here?
Thanks

make sure there are not two filter gaskets. If one got left behind from the last filter change, two gaskets do not work better than one. Have you tried another filter yet?

Yes, I have checked that the old gasket didn't get left on, and yes, I have tried several brands of oil filters including AC Delco. Thanks

Out on a limb, as I have seen this before, is this a screw on filter, or canister? Is the engine original to the truck? A common problem with what you have is still the gasket pulling, and staying on the filter mating surface, AND with that it is a large leak. Now, are you sure it is the filter? When you tried to tighten up the previous filters, was there any change in the leak? Hand tight plus 1/2 turn is usually all it takes, with that, are you using oil approved for your engine? I've see people use a full synthetic designed for gas turbines without a viton seal, and these buna n-d will leak.
