Default Leather vs covered cloth

I am shopping for a used '07Tahoe/Burb. I need leather on front buckets only, as 2nd & 3rd rows willberemoved.Otherwise, the LS should suffice. I have always preferred leather for the "firmness". Cloth seatsseema bit soft&squishy.
My question: assuming you all agree with above observation, will covering a cloth seat with leather or "appointed" ltr firm things up (ie is it simply a "surface tension" issue)?Or do I need to go OEM ltr seats?
Appreciate any thoughts---

Default RE: Leather vs covered cloth

there are some really nice aftermarket leather kits out there. 2 front seats should not be that expensive if its sold in a 2 seat kit
