!Update! I recently changed car insurance and offered to me under my coverage, is a place to go and run VIN numbers.. did I take advantage? Of course! Did I find any information out about this tahoe from the devils garage? Indeed! It turns out.. that the tahoe we were sold, was infact right smack in the center of hurricane Harvey or Henderson or whatever hurricane it was called.. and my husband and I didn't even know! It was in Texas, we are I Arkansas, neither he nor I would think to include that as a possibility as to the problems I've had out of this truck.. I love Chevrolet, don't get me wrong.. in fact. In my house growing up, if anyone were to wear a Ford logo into our home, my dad would escorts them out of our home until they came back wearing... not a Ford logo... it was serious to say the least... anyway, so i wonder, if a customer was not made aware that their vehicle was in a hurricane after the sale, I wonder if there is anything that customer could do seeing how driving this vehicle with children being among the occupants, to take care of either getting the place that sold it to us to fix or replace it. Since I'm pretty sure they had to know after all, me, an average chick can go and see the information about it online, I'm sure they could as well.. but. Something has to be done or they should be held accountable for profiting off of an item that poses risk to not only the one driving it and who it's carrying, but other motorists on the road as well.. ?,
I purchased this unreliable heap of migraines, after my 07 tahoe, (the good one) was stolen from my carport.. my husband looks and looks and finds this one about an hour away from where we live. Calls me up and describes to me as well as sends pictures to me of this truck, and says it only has 103,000 miles on it. Now my dad and uncle both are mechanics and I always helped them growing up, and dad didn't raise a bucktoothed moron, I said, "yeah that IS really nice and those ARE really low miles" then I asked for him to find out how many owners it had gone through.. he called me back and said, "just 3 owners, in a year!" And instantly I knew what was going to happen, I knew he was going to ignore my pleas for him to turn away and forget he ever seen this truck,, and I was right.. so he signs the paper calls the insurance and brings this.. what I now call a money pit and nightmare from hell" home.. at first I thought "I might eat my words on this" it was really nice, has all the bells and whistles.. then about 2 weeks into driving it around, enjoying the navigation, and stereo and DVD system, I get in it to take my kids to school, I turn the key over and my kids and I are bombarded, or overtaken by this deafening explosion sound. Right when the key turns .. my daughter starts crying, I move faster than I have since being point guard on my high schools basketball team and unload my babies out of this death trap.. I was reluctant, but as soon as I made sure there weren't flames coming from any where, and the instrument panel was all reading ok, I got back in it to deliver my kids late to school. That's the day my hell started, and my dream began, one of seeing how a tahoe would make it as a boat..from that day on.. I had to deal with this sound, the entire time I had to drive it, for about 2 years.. until I Finally said " **** on it, I'm taking it to Phil Wright and they will have to fix it" they had this ****ty clunker for 2 weeks, 2 G#D DA#$M WEEKS!! Then called and told me to pick it up, when I got there the only thing they did, was to take the fuse out for Amp and said the radio head was busted.. I knew that was a lie because when I got home I unhooked all of that and returned the fuse and upon doing so the BOOM returned.. so I too had to take the fuse out.. that all was 3 years ago.. I love music!! Correction IM OBSESSED with music.. and I haven't been able to use that feature, AND the other audible safety sounds you would hear, like warnings, and things didn't work.. when my other tahoe was stolen it messed up my life, I slept literally on the front door of my house in fear the theifs would know now that I have small children because at the time they decided to take what wasn't theirs, I had ALL of my families Christmas presents in the back under a tarp..I worried day and night, night and day, lost 30 lbs, and HAD A STROKE!!! because of these *** holes, the police were called, and I was hung up on, NO ONE came out to take a report, in fact I, ME, MISTY am the one who found out who had taken it, it was someone I didn't even know, but the cops knew, because the their worked for them as a confidential informant.. no wonder why they didn't want to take my report!. So there was another reason I had to lose sleep, knowing that I'm screwed if I had to depend on the authorities to come help me for any thing.. since then a **** ton more issues have started.. the battery keeps draining, in like a second it'll be dead.. I've replaced the alternator 3 times in a year.. headlights flash dim bright constantly.. one just burnt completely up on the back side of the socket tonight.. I started having migraine headaches last week and I want to drive this junker as fast as I can into a thick brickwall.. my question is... IS THERE A LEMON LAW IN ARKANSAS FOR USED VEHICLES?? Whew.. that all felt great.. I hope this posts!

 

it does suck when you get a lemon. you probably had many more problems you didn't list; other than the radio, alternator 3x and battery drain.

If bought privately its "as Is". There is no recourse unless they did something illegal. ie change the odometer, insurance write off. etc.
If bought from a dealer you may have some fall back but not 3 years later on a 13 year old vehicle.

Trade it in and let the dealer fix it or auction it. You could sell it privately and be up front regarding the problems.

 

I tried my best but I cannot follow what you have typed. Best I can say is hire a vehicle diagnostic technician to diagnose the issues.
