Default Location of Rear Heating/AC intake outlet???

Hi guys, I recently sprayed Air conditioner treatment via the front air intake cowl thinking it would do the rear A/c as well. Unlike my GMT800 Yukon, no such luck with the GMT900's. It appeares they have an independent air intake for the rear now.

Does anyone know where it is on the 07 Hoe? I checked the rear area where there is an slotted opening(next to the 12v outlet) but it appears it's covered with carpet on the inside of the trim.

Upon further scrutiny, it is some sort of sound dampening material placed over the rear system.

I can't seem to see/locate the intake port.

Sorry for my knobbory fellas...

DAMien

what kind of treatment did you spray? this is my 1st car w/o a cabin air filter so I can only imagine how funky it gets on the coil and other parts.
sorry no answer for your real question...

I think the grill you are referring to is the air intake for the rear HVAC system. Not sure why it would be covered on the inside tho.

That is what I was thinking too Shark, but it is not actually an intake, it merely allows air flow around the whole system and is in fact covered by sound material. It's one big plastic unit the rear system. I did search more today and found a snorkel with foam around the bottom frame but when I look underneath the vehicle there is no inlet seen. Worse yet, all of this is right above the resonator.

I was hoping someone had a diagram to the unit, of who could share the answer with us.

By the way, the spray that I used is by ZEP Chemical Industries. Air conditioner odor eater. Works great and last a few months.

hi there.
hope covid-19 is staying away and you’re all healthy!!

any luck on finding the rear intake?
im about to take the whole rear plastic off to find it. .....as you can probably guess, id rather not do that.

I have a 2017 suburban and I get a bad stink too...more so when it’s raining ironically so can’t open windows lol.

cabin air filter is bull****. Doesn’t help.
