Default Locked out of 2003 tahoe

Bringing husband home from hospital and wasn't able to get into park (automatic) so left in neutral key wouldn't come out so had to leave it but took off hub to be able to unlock. Went to go get his script and can't get in battery dead. How can I get in?

The "least likely to break something" method would probably be trying to go underneath and pop the hood latch to attach jumper cables.

Choice 2 would probably be wedging open one of the doors to be able manually unlock a door with a coat hanger or similar device.

Try attaching positive jumper cable to positive cable at starter, it runs right to battery. The negitive cable can go anywhere on the block or frame.

Thank you both. I got it open. Now I just need to figure out how to get it to go back into park, so I can take out key (definitely getting backup). Both of us are disabled so don't have funds to go to shop with it, especially with husband being ill. I guess I will disconnect the negative cable and hopefully battery won't drain.
