i just got an 09 tahoe ls and i love it. but i am lookin for some tips for gettin a little hp for cheap. if anyone hear can help me out i would be appriciative. also if i could get a few tips in lowering kits and black-out kits.

 

On a new truck like that I would do nothing except a cold air intake and possibly an exhaust upgrade. That will help a little, after that, there is no such thing as cheap horsepower.

 

bolt a leaf blower to the intake.

then add some stickers to the sides

 

Welcome to the Chevrolet Forum. As Mudmaniac said, no such thing as cheap HP. CAI and exhaust really don't do much, maybe a little at 5 grand but then you probably don't spend much time there. A lot of folks like the Edge programmer. Other option is to have it custom programmed. Then you can get rid of torque mgmt.

 

I agree with 73shark you really will not get much from a CAI or exhaust except some cool sound. From what I have been reading the best bang for the buck is a Black Bear custom tune. Everyone that has one says that is the best upgrade they have ever done.
