Default Looking for advice

Hey there! I'm looking at getting a 2010 surburban 5.3L V8 and it has 229k miles on it and I wanted to see if it would be a good purchase? It'll be my daily driver and I'm looking at making a road trip in it

That's an awful lot of miles. At that point, you're looking at the possibility of some expensive repairs - transmission, wheel hubs/bearings, transfer case, suspension bits, etc. A truck with that much mileage can easily become a money pit. Only way I'd even consider buying such a high-mileage truck is if there are FULL service records showing all fluids (motor oil, trans, axles, transfer case) were changed RELIGIOUSLY.

Personally, I'd look for a few years older with fewer miles. Maybe an '08 with 150k or something like that. Avoid 2007 - it was the first year for the new platform. My '08 and '09 trucks have been great.

yeah with that many miles the price better be very cheap to pay for the repairs. i would pass unless the burb was pretty much free
