Default Looking at getting an older Suburban/Tahoe - Suggestions?

We currently have a 2012 Suburban LT and my father has a 2009 Tahoe Z-71 so I have fell in love with these vehicles.

I am currently looking at getting one for a run around/work vehicle.

I drive about 60 miles a day round trip in sometimes horrible weather.

What years do I need to stay away from and how many miles is to many?

Currently looking at -
2003 suburban z71 4x4 clean title, sunroof, heated seats, leather loaded up 160k miles $5500

Looks good from pics, gong to look at tomorrow in person.

Thoughts?

Once you get close to 150K, these things can become money pits. I just got rid of my 01 Burb with 180K miles. Perusing my repair file, I realized I'd spend almost $9k in repairs the last 3 1/2 years. Rear axle, front hubs/bearings, A/C compressor and clutch, the autoleveling shocks, exhaust manifold gaskets, fuel pump were some of the larger bills. Granted, I don't do my own work any more, so I pay (a lot more) for everything.

Listen for a whining fuel pump. If it's whining, a ~$750 repair bill is imminent. Mine whined for about 10 months before it died.
