How do I remove the lower dash in a 2004 suburban?

I just bought a retired fire suburban, 2004 HD2500 (my avatar). I am replacing the console (which the fire department cut in half) and putting in a dash / glove box without a console - also converting to 9 seats.

The console is out.

I am having trouble removing the glove box assembly. Besides the screws, there are four snap-in clips in the dash that my big fat fingers are not reaching. Any tips on how to get this thing off?
