Default LOWERING O7 TAHOE WITH AUTORIDE?

Hey guys. Have a question. I got an 07 tahoe LTZ with the autoride self leveling suspension in the back. What's the best way to lower the truck? What's the best way to lower NOT to remove the autoride, or does it absolutely have to go? If so, how? Would like as many suggestions as possible from those who've done it.

What shocks to use? What's the best amount of inches to drop for 24" rims?

Thanks a bunch.

There's several aftermarket kits available, some that w/ work on Autoride. Best bet from what I've heard is spindles on front and springs on back. Be sure the kit comes w/ new rods for the Autoride linkage. Be aware that the shorter rear springs w/ be a little stiffer and you'll have less axle travel so the bump stops w/ need to be trimmed to prevent bottoming out.

Macgaughy and Beltech makea a 2/3 lowering kit for LTZ's with autoride. I have the Mcguaghy kit sale if interested. If you ave 4x4, you will have to remove the CV-axle and cut the Upper controll arm bolt so the CV axle can fit. No biggie! just thought i would inform you about that. Ohh in the rear, the Air linkage can be bent according to Mcgaughy's instructions. I would go 2/3 with 24's. The 3/5 kit is too low and you might have rubbing issues.
