Default malfunctioning blower motor

2012 Suburban

Hi Everyone,

The fan for my heater is acting up (of course the day we have a blizzard).
Here's what is happening.
1) Heater fan won't kick on until engine reaches operating temperature. It would come on previously to this so this is new.
2) Once it kicks on I do have full control over the speed of the fan. So there is nothing wrong with a resistor (if this vehicle has one).

My assumption is a relay somewhere is going bad. Where do I find the relay for this. What are my other options if it isn't a relay?

Thanks!

which speeds work?

if the resistor is going out, then probably so is the blower motor.

check charm.li for schematics

Thanks Mountainmanjoe. Finally was able to pull it apart last night. At the end of the day it was just the motor was going bad. My wife should be nice and warm on the way to work today!
