moved thread Very slow starter or Battery
I have a 2003 tahoe, but this seems like a general problem. I am having a hard time starting my vehicle. Some times it fires right up like there was never an issue and sometimes it does the following... Very slow cranking start, sometime I have to recrank it. This is usually followed by the CD changer resetting and the clock resetting to 12:00 am. This is sometimes followed by the "reduced enging power" message and a check engine light. I had my battery tested recently and it was fine. The check engine light is supposedly a "Throttle positioning sensor" notice.
My wife is having our first baby this week and this vehicle will be her daily driver. So I need to fix it as soon as possible.
Please shed some light on my possible problem and suggested fixes.
Thanks in advance for any help!!

Welcome to the forum,
You may need to look at replacing the battery cables or at least inspect them at all connection points and check for any corrosion...
Check the ground cable from the battery to the engine and the positive from teh battery all the way to the starter...

Loose connection somewhere. Check the terminals for looseness and corrosion. Battery may also be dead. Do you have headlights? Leave the headlights on and wiggle each terminal one at a time to see if they come on. Whichever one you move turns them on, problems there.
