Default Nasty Chrome Molding on 2013 Suburban LTZ :(

Just purchased a Suburban 2013 LTZ. Ordered via phone and only wanted black exterior with black interior. So sad to arrive at the dealer for pickup and it had nasty chrome stripe down the center (horizontal molding/trim). The door handles chrome too but doesn't bother me quite as bad.

They told me it was standard on the LTZ. I think I confirmed that on Chevy's website but - is that really the only option on the LTZ? I'd rather have a 2012 or an LT over this nasty chrome. Too late now but... can one order an LTZ with black/standard molding?

Any idea the cost to convert it after-market? =( =( That stuff snap on or... is it attached permanently?

Thanks for any help...

Did you not look at one before you ordered?

LTZ has a chrome mesh grill, chrome half covers on the mirrors, along w/ what you mentioned. Also has the body colored hitch receiver cover.

I actually like the chrome on the door guards but don't like the mirror caps or handles.

Congratulations on your new Suburban, bradm! However, we're sorry to hear that you are not fully satisfied with the appearance of your new vehicle. While we can't advise on any sort of aftermarket work, if your dealership has a body shop and you wanted for us to check into what could be done please let us know.

I took all my chrome and all badges off my 08 LT Sub. Looks nicer to me and easier to wash too. No pulls on the chamois.
They came off easy with 15lb mono. Did a black bowtie front and rear too.

I too prefer the body colored trim, which is why I bought an LT.
