Navigation Install Question
Hey guys....got a quick newbie question for you...
I have a 2004 Tahoe LT and my wifesaid she's gonna go straight for the jugular ifI don'tput a Nav system in it!! Acutally, I've been wanting one too. I've been doing some research on it and been looking through the forums here a bunch lately and I think I have found what I needed.
Here is a link to a nav system on ebay that I'm looking into buying. Link
I have the Bose system in it as well. What I'm asking is...is that going to be 100% compatible and is that everything I need to get the nav system up and running on my tahoe?
Also, the seller says that for $100 extra, that he will program it for the buyer prior to shipping so that all I'd have to do is install it. Is that worth it to do? How much would the dealer charge to program it for me?
Thanks in advance for the tips!

Welcome.
I don't see the link to the unit that you have found on Ebay but make sure that you get the unit for the correct year and the touch-screen system is more desirable.
Do not buy the unit that is for use with the Y91 or Y92 Lux Bose system.
GM Part #15800000 is your best choice.
Most dealers charge between $50 and $100 to program and it is always better to have the unit set up after the installation is completed.
Below is a link to a couple of units that I would recommend, the second one is likely that same unit that you are looking at getting.

The link to the ebay page is where it says "Link" in my above post. Sorry for the confusion. Here it is........Link.
Thank you very much for the info. The part # of the one I'm looking at is 15800001. Does the 1 at the end mean it is the lux? And I will definately have the dealer program it for me then. Thanks again.
Edit: I looked at your second link just now and it looks like that is from the same seller I was looking at, but it looks like you found the correct one that I need! Is there any reason why the non-lux is more expensive than the lux one I was looking at?
