Tahoe & SuburbanThe power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.
I have a 97 suburban and every since I had the leaf spring bushings and shackles replaced the shackle side of the leafs want to go in towards the center of the truck, driver and passenger side .I've been thru 4 or 5 sets of Dorman shackles and the bottom part keeps sliding until it's metal(shackle) on metal(hanger).even when I replace the shackles I have to pull the leafs out away from the frame and I've noticed that the bottom leaf(overload?) Looks to be sitting properly but the rest are not aligned. I've back tracked everything that was done and haven't found the problem.i know the leafs were takin apart ,is there a way to make sure they are all in the right direction, maybe bushing are on the wrong side?I would appreciate any suggestions/help.etc........
