Default New air intake...now wacky oil gauge

Just a question...and maybe I'm crazy. I installed the Trueflow air intake system in my 2003 Tahoe this am and everything went well (no idiot lights after install). However I am now noticing that my oil gauge flucuates with acceleration. It may have done this before, but I really don't remember if it did or not. Anyway at idle it sits at 40 (or even a little lower) but as I accelerate and gain speed it will rise to about 60 and then stay in between (usually approx 50ish)as I coast. I called Trueflow who said that changing the AIT should not affect the oil pressure as the sensors are in different locations in the engine compartment.

I know that I had to undo the battery so the ECU can reset (which I'm sure I haven't traveled far enough for that to happen yet), but the last time I did that I don't remember the oil gauge going flucuating. So I'm left at:

1) It is a case of "new install now noticing", since I know oil pressure can flucuate with acceleration (just don't know if it should be this much of a range), or

2) Something is going on that I should have evaluated.

Any ideas?

I really think its normal. I drive an 18 wheeler and I know theres a big difference between the two but the trucks oil pressure gauge will go from about 30 at an idle to 60 or 70 depending on the rpm. Then again I'm no mechanic.

it does seem to be RPM related...even in park or neutral as the RPMs increase so does the oil pressure and as the RPMs stabilize the oil pressure decreases.

I'm guessing from the lack of replies that this is a normal thing for my Tahoe.

I have noticed it too, when ive been accelerating. I think it is normal, and there is nothing to worry about.
