Default New-to-me 1998 Suburban, think I have all the classic problems.

So, on top of the previous owner hiding a head gasket leak, I think I have a list of problems that are typical. If anyone has any tips for me other than hitting the pull-a-part and getting replacement parts, throw them at me.

Headlight switch. Dash based one, I have high beams but if I click to use low beams I lose the headlights as well as the dash lights.

AC/Heater control ****. I have high speed only. None of the others work.

Broken inside door handle. One was freshly replaced, one broken.

Outside door handle frame cracked and loose.

Rear brake light and turn signal out. Left side works, right doesn't. I replaced the bulbs, no good. Should I swap out the assembly?

I'm getting a gurgling from my dashboard every time I rev the engine. I'm guessing the heater core is gurgling? Any reason why?

Rear bumper rotted to crap like the Z71's do.

Anything else I should be on the lookout for?

The inside door handles can be found on eBay.

Check if you are getting power at the light assembly before spending any more money. I had a similar problem on a 95 Silverado, had to bend the contacts on the assembly to ensure contact.

If I'd only not already replaced it! lol I went to a salvage U-pull and bought a replacement AC control, headlight switch, tail light and that cured the problems with each of those. Now I have to sort out my sloppy as hell front suspension...
