Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Thanks for the response. It has stock tires on it, 245/75/16. Should've added that to the initial post.

Thanks again,
Buenos

Default Update

Hello,
The Tahoe is still going strong. I moved 5000 lbs cross country on a military move and it performed flawlessly. I averaged about 10 mpg even with an 80 mph headwind the last 300 miles. For that last little bit, I averaged about 5 mpg.

I have been unable to solve the dome light issue. The lights will remain on after I shut and lock the doors. This only happens intermittently but I have pulled the fuse for fear of draining the battery. Any insight into this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I am also at a loss as far as the speed being off by 20%. But I have some new info to add. I have removed part of the dash and instrument cluster to facilitate a remote start install. I noticed that the instrument cluster has a stamp on the back that reads "95 C/K 1500." Is this instrument cluster compatable with a 97 Tahoe? I'm not sure if it is original or replaced. I also noticed that there are 3 additional wiring harness plugs behind the dash that were not hooked up. They are in the same area that the 4wd selector is. Are these wires for options that weren't installed?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Buenos
