New member saying hello
Hello all, just want to be cordial as a new member on the board and a first time Suburban owner.
I am a dyed in the wool Ford man and have owned then for nearly 40 years but I had to make a purchase of a company vehicle. The specified models from the owner was either a Suburban, Yukon XL or Expedition XL, got the best deal on a 2012 Suburban LT lease return with only 16K.
After driving it for a bit couldn't help but admit it is a nice vehicle with a good ride, however geared for fuel mileage it doesn't pull a boat or trailer that well.
I needed to find a tow vehicle for my boat and stumbled on a 2000 4X4 Suburban LS, leather interior typical condition for it's age, dual second row seating, 3rd row bench, charcoal exterior with 225000 miles. The suburban runs and drives smooth and quiet plus it pulls the boat much better than the 2013.
Sorry so windy on a first post but long story short I'm really happy with the purchase of the Suburban.

Welcome to the forum. I'm a newbie to the forum, but have been a Suburban owner for about 20 years. The first 'burban was a 1986. Bought it with about 90,000 miles on it in 1994 and blew transmission going up Lavita Pass in Colorado headed to Southfork, pulling a camper. What fun that was to be camped out in the boonies near Cottonwood Cove for a week with no vehicle. $1500.00 later, I got back home. Traded it off in 2002 with about 187,000 miles on it for a 1999 model and have driven it all over the Southwest from Phoenix to Atlanta to North Caroline and back and forth between Springfield/Branson area to Mineral Wells and out to eastern NM more times than I can count. Currently has 229,000+ miles on it. Hope you get as much enjoyment out of your first as I have out of my two.
