Default New problem

Ok so after having the problem with the extended start problem this weekend I was able to determine that it was the check valve on the pump. New pump to be installed tomorrow.

So the new problem. On my way home from our camp this evening, a 140 ride alot of back road hills and about 80 miles highway. I started getting the stabilitrac turning off and the traction control turning off and telling me to service both. I noticed alot when I was going up hill and getting on it pretty good it would do it. Then again it was doing it on the highway as well.

When my wife was researching it while we were driving. A lot of people were saying they had the same symptoms and onstar was telling them the motor was running lean.

Could the bad fuel pump be causing this to happen as well??

Maybe. Did you check the fuel pressure?

Don't have a gauge and they didn't have one at the auto parts store. I'm going to put the new pump in tomorrow and either take it to the garage around the corner to check pressure or go get a gauge on my test drive.

Harbor Fright has fuel pressure gauges for about $20....I'm sure most Auto Parts stores also have them in a similar price range...

The auto parts store I was at didn't have one. I replaced the fuel pump today and the problem went away.
