Default New shocks...What Shouls I get?

Hi all I have a 1996 tahoe with 256k miles. I've owned it for 3 years and the ride has always been very "bouncy" (the rear end bucks up on bumps and dips) also there is a lot of body rock around turns. I have eddlebrock shocks on rear and nascar truck shocks on the front. I think both are over 6 years old.

I want to replace the rear shocks but with what?! I know nothing about suspension. I want a more stable ride (no bucking/less body rock) and I'm on a budget! I also do occasional medium duty hauling.

Thanks a lot!

I just ordered Gabriel Maxcontrol shocks for my '93 Suburban. I can't speak for how well they ride yet but the price was hard to pass up. The shocks were $70 for all four from Amazon and I get a 20% rebate off of that from Gabriel!

I have always liked BDS or Rancho.

I just put on a set of Rancho RSX 1700's. So far so good, eliminated a lot of the body roll.

With that many miles, just get whatever is cheapest. It will be better than what you have.

I noticed last night that the shocks I ordered from Amazon have gone from $9 -> $53 front and $25 -> $53 rear and they are out of stock. I think they mis-marked them and all of us who caught it depleted the inventory. The status says mine shipped and should be here Friday. I guess I got a great deal on Gabriel Max Controls
