Default New Truck

Ok i am thinking about buying a new 1996 Suburban for $6,500. I love this year i have one right now and it still runs but this one i am going to redo. The body is still in good shape and the motor still runs. But it isnt the stock 350 they put a 454 in it.(i love that motor)The mpgs suck big time but i am not going to be driveing this alot. i just want a truck that i can redo and make it they way i want it. What do you think? let this deal go or go for it ?

I personaly wouldn't buy a vehcile that had been altered or modified in any way, too hard to figure out what got screwed up in the process.
