Intro
me and my wife just bought our 07 Tahoe LTZ and this is the first chevy product i have driven in a while.( im partial to dodge trucks. dont hate) needless to say chevy knocked it out of the park with the redesign on their truck and suv line and we love the HOE. It is a fully loaded White LTZ with options i didnt even know where avalible on a vehicle. although this beast is almost perfect i have some modding to do to make it my own. i plan on upgrading the factory 20 to a set of 22's, debadging and blacking out the taillights.
Question
how hard is it to remove the door panels? my 3 yr old daughter likes to yank on the handles to get them open and has stripped a keeper pin so i have to replace it. thanks for any help.

Door panels are easy. Just take a crowbar, jam it behind the panel and pull really hard. Its replacing them afterwards that is kind of tricky.
Of course, there's an easier way. First of, remove the door opener on the inside (two screws. One visible and the other one behind the handle, because well...they like to keep you searching). You dont have to remove the handle, only the little voer behind it.
Then there should be a flap next to your mirrors. (front doors only , of course). You can remove those as well (not all cars have this).
Then there is your armrest. There should be two screws holding that up.
Theres also the lock ****. (Allthough not on all models of course). Just pull it upwards (pull hard) and it'll come loose.
All parts should be loose now. Now all that keeps your panel to your door are retaining clips. Not sure how to explain that to you. I always say its like some kind of huge bra. (And we all know how much trouble men have with that).
the door panel can be slit forward a little (it bends). With a screw driver you can go behind that and slide sideways till you find the first retainer. If you found it, but the screw driver head under the retainer and push it upwards. You'll feel a click and the panel will come looser.
Then slide further to the next one and keep doing this until all retainers are loose. Then the door panel should be in your hands.
Good luck.
