Evening every one! I have a 2002 suburban the about every month or so I have to change the cigarette lighter fuse. then the other day I had to replace the cigar lighter fuse which, incidentally, provides power to the OBD2 port. I figured this out because my programmer would not come on...
Anyway, would anyone have any suggestions as to where to start?
The middle of the three plugins on the dash has never worked... Thanks!

Are you regularly using the outlet for a cigarette lighter? if so the lighter itself could be causing too much current draw... may try replacing it.
If not then I would inspect under the dash and at the back of the socket panel for any chaffed or cut wires... have you added any aftermarket items that could be shorting out?

I think it takes a 20 amp fuse. All I have in it is a cell charger but the kids use it for their nintendos etc. the console plug goes out along with the rear cargo bay one. Any ideas how to take the dash apart to look at the wiring? thanks for the replies!
