Default Noise and friction sensation when steering and on brake pedal? ('96 2500 Burb)

I have a '96 Suburban 2500 w/200k mi and I am at this point just trying to figure out the best place to take it in for repair. When steering there's a sensation of friction/machinery on the steering wheel and on the brake pedal that started up a few weeks ago. I attempted to demonstrate what I'm hearing in a couple videos.

It makes odd noises at a standstill by just moving the wheel as I show in one of the videos and there's kind of this jet engine sound while driving. Really just trying to figure out what kind of shop I need as I'm unsure if this is transmission, engine, brakes - I've never really experienced this in another vehicle.

Any help appreciated!

Here are links to the videos - having trouble attaching both:

I'm no expert on automatic transmissions, but I think the torque converter is not operating properly for one thing. Thanks for the video too. I need to buy a new steering wheel cover for my 1998 K-1500.

First one sounds like it could be the fan clutch on the engine. Second one is probably power steering pump

Default Noise when steering or braking i a 2500

The 2500 uses a brake booster called a hydro boost it runs with the power steering pump. Your description sounds like a power steering pump issue.

Independent local ASE certified shop. Not dealer.
