I have a 99 suburban that fell victim to the pump rub, i pulled a 246 out of a 98 but it had the 4l60e ive been told the input shaft splines are different 27/32 splines. Ive also been told i can swap them out. but after i do this is the transfercase out the 98 going to work for my 99?? The one with the red tag is from my 99 the silver tag is from the 98

 

easier to fix the case...search out a case repair kit...split the case, install the kit and jb weld the holes in the case. as long as the case isn't cracked just pinholes.

 

Id have to rebuild the case, sorry lack of information on my end, it was run dry until it seized. ive got to replace it really
