Welcome to the forum..
There are 4 O2 sensors, 2 before the catalytic converter and 2 after..

Bank 1 sensor 1 is the side that has No.1 cylinder 1 is the one before the cat, 2 is after.

Bank 2 is the opposite side of cylinder #1 with 1 and 2 in the respective spots...

Reading the DTC's or fault codes can give you a general direction of which one is most likely bad...

Default 2001 Suburban 5.3 O2 sensors.

I have a 2001 Suburban 5.3 that is throwing codes P1133 and P1153. Would the O2 sensors be located in the same positions as the 2004 Suburban 5.3?

Hi
Got a 2001 Tahoe 5,3 l, which USED to be a "nice" car Lately the fuel-consumption has increased about half a liter pr. 10 km It is a low-milage car, served at the right time and no error codes ! I got it checked at GM-garage, and they could not find anything wrong/ no computer error codes :/ So the BIG question is: WHY does "Mummys Ride" use so much more fuel now than before ?! PLEASE ANYONE

What has changed? Is 100% gasoline available or was it, and did you switch to an ethenol blend?

Thanks for Your reply For the last year or so I have mostly bought SWEDISH fuel, due to high Norwegian prices; 10/TEN DOLLARS pr. gallon !!! (we live close to the border) I am not sure about the components in Swdish gas compared to Norwegian, but the thougt has striked me For the last week the car has been running on EXPENSIVE Norwegian fuel, so it will be interesting to see if that makes a difference !
