Ok, Mr. LMGTFY, show me ONE instance where a car was hacked wirelessly in the real world. Just one. Whether it was to cause an accident, steal data, or steal the car. Anything. One incident.
Not some lab geeks plugging into the OBD2 port.
And if it's the state/law enforcement that you're worried about, well I have a nasty secret for you. Even if you don't subscribe, they can still remotely disable your vehicle. Short of pulling fuses and physically yanking it out of your car, subscriber or not, you're "vulnerable."
I think the tinfoil hat might be cutting of circulation. You might want to loosen it a bit.
