Default Oxygen Sensor

2003 Tahoe z71. I cant seem to get the o2 sensor to break loose on bank 2 lower sensor. I do have a crows foot socket for it and i have hit it with kroil... did not budge. Now i have heated the sob to cherry red and it still wont budge! Any Ideas how to get it off from there without having to cut it out?

e to the forum.

You need to get an O2 sensor socket and use a breaker bar.

A crescent wrench will tend to round off the corners.

if the sensor is junk, cut the wires close to the end of the sensor. this will allow you to put a 6 point, deep socket on it. heat up the threaded part of the exhaust pipe, not the sensor itself.
