Can anyone identify this rubber sleeve that covers the wire from the inside of the body frame to the high mount brake lamp? This part is attached to the rear liftgate and I believe it is a protection boot/sleeve to cover the wire harness for the high mount brake lamp. I can't find this part anywhere online and wanted to check here before heading to the dealership.
It's the liftgate wire harness boot but I don't think you'll find it new by itself. It's the harness for everything in the entire door. If you have a power liftgate, here's a Link to the harness showing the included boot. The power liftgate harness is part number 20954751. The non power liftgate harness is part number 20954750
Is there something wrong with yours? It's common for them to leak. If so, I just gently unsnap if from the vehicle, clean the area where the book seals to the car then apply some black RTV sealant to the boot and snap back in place. Let sit for a few hours before opening the door. My 2007 hasn't leaked since I did this a couple years ago.

Thanks for the info and yes it started leaking for me and I couldnt figure out the source until I tracked where the water from the room was wet and started dripping. I took out the harness boot and cleaned it but I will try it out and put the RTV sealant to make sure it stays in place. Im about the buy some sealant today and give it a try and see if it fixes the issue. I appreciate the feedback and reply.

Yes my Tahoe is leaking from the boot. One of the corners their a little gap that is barely noticeable but most likely the water coming through in that section and it leaks to the roof where it will drip to the back portion near the 3rd section rear seats that fold down. Great solution and heading over to Advance Auto Parts to pick up some RTV Sealant. Thanks.
