is there a pcv vavle on the 5.3L ? if there is where is it at.

I think I found it. it look's like it is built into the vavle cover? on my other truck I just changed it every 20,000 miles.

It is a non serviceable part.

Default the one in my 2002 Suburban is

is mounted in the rear of the right hand valve cover. I just replaced it two days ago.

I guess you can on some of the older models. the newer ones I guess are a non serviceable part like md said. not sure why I used to change mine on my old burb.

If it's not clogged or gunked up, then you should be able to clean it and put it back in.

On my last suburban 99 it said to change the pcv every 30,000 miles. This one is built in so I can’t really do much with it. (not really a big deal) But how do you go from changing a part every 30,000 miles to not ever changing it? I have never really seen one not work and yes, you could just clean it out and re-use it, I am sure, but there only $3 bucks so I just put a new one in.
