Default Plasti Dip Fun

Got bored this weekend.

Made the Tahoe look evil.

Might do parts of my Mower lol.

Stuff is AWESOME. very forgiving and if you mess up... peel it right off.

3.5 cans for the wheels + emblems. under $30

Yea, my friend does this all the time. I thought I'd give it a shot.

I'm going to try it on a jet ski this spring.

Default Black on Black

Black is awesome... when it's clean...

Normally the Jeep is topless & doorless, but it's winter here now...

Is this the same Plasti-Dip we dip tool handles in only in spray form?

Default Kinda?

I'm going to say maybe? maybe if you did like 200 coats... but I only did 4 on each wheel and 4-5 on the emblems.

When dry it has a latex glove like feel to it.

for $6 a can, it's fun. I just wish Lowes had more colors in stock.

of course now it just highlights all the rust on the rotor... Maybe I should have pulled the discs, cleaned them up and painted them black as well...

Now I swear other drivers think it's a cop car. I get the most interesting looks... (all the black tahoes + black OEM rims around here are cop cars... so... ya know lol)

I don't have any lights or anything to be pretending to be a cop car, just a black paint job.

I don't know why (other than cost) no one paints the underside of cars... The Tahoe and my Jeep are guilty of this... but I just take some Ace Rustproof Black and go to town on the underside of them. Driveshafts, axles, sway bar links, bolts, anything that's not painted... in PA everything rusts underneath the vehicle, and no one sees it, so why not? I should have done the calipers when it was new...

the Tesla in that link, looks so freaking evil, you'd think it was clubbing baby seals... not getting 98 MPG-e

I'm planning to 'dip' my Tesla, to protect the paint. They also make a clear which would be very interesting. clear car bra spray the whole car!

Default durability

according to most sites... 2-3 years.

I figured it would help protect the rims over the winter... road salt in PA is super awesome.

Speaking of my favorite car company lol:

0-60 in 3.2. 155 MPH top speed. AWD.. ohh and it can drive it's self.

and.. never burns a drop of gas.

If they get much faster in the quarter mile, they're going to have to offer a roll bar option.

If it cleans off easily enough it might be a great way to customize the ride for a weekend or road trip then just peel it all off when done.... not to mention the protection it could offer for nice rims when having to do gravel or off roads...
