Question plug wires

any body got a easier way of getting the plug wires off on a 2004 Tahoe with a 4.8 v-8 .they spin ,not stuck but the wire connectors are a Bi*******ch only got one so far .don't want to ruin the wires ,just want to replace the plugs .

This has come up before ans someone had a good idea but I dont remember. Can you get the boots to slide back at all so you can get to the tip better? You can break the porcelin part of the plug with a long socket extention & a hammer but it can get porcelin fragments in the head when you pull the plugs out, I did this before but blew the area clean before pulling out the plug. This just gets you so you can try to get them off at the workbench instead of cussing at your engine if you want to save the wires.

yea i just thought of that ,the ole man just ran across the street and borrowed a couple of different boot pliers from the neighbor.they priced the sister almost $300.00 at the dealer to change them .they gave no break down of the cost i wonder if it was plugs and wires ?hmmmm.
