Power Door Locks
I have a 1995 Tahoe, the power door locks have become intermittent. The 30 Amp circuit breaker is going into an overheat condition. This tempoaraily turns off the circuit until it cools off. Keeps repeating but not always. Has anyone had a similar problem?
This power door locks cicuirt is shared by the Power Seats and the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)module.
- I disconnected the power seats and the problem still occurs.
- I checked the door lock switches and the cable harness going into the doors for any shorts. Everything was OK.
- I replaced the power door lock relay. No help.
Does anyone know where the RKE module is located? The service manual only says "driverside - under the dash" - theres a lot of stuff under the dash!I want to disconnect it to see if that's the culprit. Thanks!
