09 silverado,passemnfer electric fold mirror still folds and out but, but,stops halfway,aond then opens, then when closed,it takes a slight nudge to open and it jerks but still opens. Seems it should open and close with a single press of the button. What the help do I have to do.I'm not rich or a mechanic but can follow detailed guidelines when they are written properly in sequence. Wveryplace I visit points to a whole lot of gluing on a new gear and the need for a vice grip and other tools, and it being a PITA. I just want a plug and play fix, with some work is ok but not where i have to watch out for a spring that shoots out and gluing gear on sprocket. Very hard getting this solved, when you have to send in your old part at your own shipping cost at some place. I I would buy what I need if I knew what to buy. I would buy what I need if I knew what it needed based on my descriptive issue. A manual or video would be helpful as well as other places than 1 excluding the dealership. I just want to know what the least DIY hassle approach is with mid range cost. Anyone,?

 

usually it's small plastic gears that wear out. I believe you can replace them w/new, or there is someone on here who sells metal ones, that may last longer.
