Default Power Inverter Problem/Question

I have a power inverter that I had used in our '04 Trailblazer and '05 Camry and had no problems with it at all. I plugged it into the rear console of the new Tahoe and it started to smoke.

Does anyone know if the voltage is different in the '07 Tahoe than the '04 Trailblazer?

Thanks

The same 12v as always and the accessory socket is fused.
I wonder if your inverter is just old and going tango uniform.

It was the inverter that started to smoke...just glad it smoked as soon as I pluged it in and not after it had been in a while. I will have to try it in the car and see if it still works. Thanks for the quick reply.

I have used the rear 12 volt outlet to power my inverter with no problems. It was used for 3 to 4 hours at a time powering a PS2 on a trip from South Louisiana to St. Louis.[sm=drooldude.gif]
