I have a 2013 Suburban and the power lift gate recently stopped working. The fob, the front console and the button inside the handle won’t open or close it. When you press the button on the handle you can hear the motor attempting to open but then it stops. I can open it manually but that’s it. When I use the fob the lights flash but nothing.

 

Could your lift struts be weak (assuming that it has these). These seem to weaken over time.
