I have had that happen a few times before. pretty sure it has something to do with the sensitive pumps and how they pull out the fumes vs letting them go into the air like in some states. if they cant get a good vacuum going then they shut off. I thought I read something about the filler neck going to the gas tank can have issues at times also
I assume you have tried many different pumps?
usually after a few tries it fills up all the way for me w/o issue.

Maybe it's yours that's broke. I use Firefox and the edit and new thread buttons are right where they've always been.

Until the fuel station industry can replace the nozzles with the improved versions, please try another pump and/or another fuel station.

Now, for a mechanical angle, check out thread https://chevroletforum.com/forum/ava...problems-5253/. The EVAP vent valve can become clogged but not enough to trigger a trouble code.

Default got it

i figured it out.

as for the pump issue, have u seen that ford has capless fillers now on almost all their cars?

I experienced it on a loaner escape, and it's very cool. why the hell did it take so long to put that on a car, and why aren't they ALL that way?
