Default Purchasing 2006 Tahoe

Hey guys, its been awhile since I've been on. I'm curious about everyone's opinion on a prospective purchase. I am looking at a 2006 Chevy Tahoe with about 272,000 miles on it. Its got everything I want, the 5.3 with 4x4 and its got things the wife wants to, sunroof, dvd player, 3rd row seating. I have experience with the 5.3'/4x4's from my Silverado and I've deemed them quality motors. The overall of the vehicle is 7/10. Interior is almost perfect with just minor scratches on the outside. Guy is asking $5000 but I offered $4000 and he accepted. Paperwork tomorrow because banks are closed today.

Clean Title, Clean carfax which I ran when I got home. Carfax shows NO problems even, not even a failed smog. He let me take it for an hour long test drive by myself and said I can take it to a shop if I like. What do you guys think? $4000 for a 06 with 272k? Good deal?

does he have a repair list/receipts of work done? My 01 had 190k and started to leak at the front differential..... had to replace 2 seals. Anti lock system went out at 120k and never fixed it. Ran strong and smooth but needed about 2 quarts between 4000k oil changes. Great truck tho, I think 4k sounds ok if the 06 really runs great and maintenance has been kept up with proof of work. I think the 06 was the best year for a nice tough suburban. New ones are all plastic and pretty, but not tough... I have an 07 now.
