Default Putco Chrome Hatch Cover

Hey guys,
I just bought the Putco chrome covers for the hatch. Anyone here have them? Anyone have any pointers on the install on the bottom one for the touch pad part? The top one for the plate light looks like a very easy install, it just sticks right on. It's the bottom one that has tape on all three sides and looks like it may get hung up before it seats right.

Might it be like other vinyl decals or window tint, where you could use a mild mix of dish soap and water to install?

Do a search on this forum. There was quite a bit of discussion several months ago on this issue.

I don't think it will work like that? It is 3M tape.

I have the putco hatch/handle covers on my tahoe...the top hatch cover is a little easier to install, but the handle cover isnt that tough either, you have to eye it up and lightly stick it in place(very lightly).i placed a finger on each side of the cover and made sure it felt even...once its on its on..and that decal trick doesnt work with 3m tape. mine came out perfect so just take your time...and good luck..its worth it ..
