Default Questionable repairs by my mechanic

97 K1500. Was told by mechanic that axel seal was bad after looking at rear breaks. So I had new brakes installed with the seal. Latter my power booster went out all of a sudden. That was replaced.
right rear tire started to lock up. Shop said I needed a new axel, wheel bearing and repair bearing fix so I had that done. Couple of weeks later my rear right brakes locked up. The shop said the axel housing was bad where the bearing warped the housing and so I need a new rear end. Am I being taken advantage of?

Lots of question but I think the mechanic is some what responsible for the housing problem. Maybe he didn't do the wheel bearing correctly. What do you think? Thanks for your help. Bruce

if the brakes locked up partially on one side(especially since this car has ABS) I would say your combination valve may be bad.
