readiness monitor issues on a '98
the smog people said that they couldnt test my tahoe because i had more than 2 monitors that wernt ready, when i got home i plugged in the scanner and came up with:
evap sys. inc.
oxygen sens. heater inc.
catalyst mon. inc.
are these bad sensors or do i have other issues? i can guess about the oxy heater, the last set i bought were auto zone specials. thanks in advance-Russ

'Not ready' simply means the correct conditions have not been present to test the systems. When they test & pass they will set to ready. The easiest one to get would be the o2 heaters. Start vehicle cold & let it idle until it flips to ready (5 minutes max)
Worst case you could have issues causing tests to not even run. What codes did you clear to cause 'not readys'?

IIRC the only code ive ever seen was p0101?? not 100% sure that was it and it was months ago. just a few weeks ago i changed the fuel pump, before that when the pump was getting weak the SES would come on if i was in the throttle to heavy for a longtime.
it might be worth mentioning that the monitors were checked after completing a drive cycle
