Default Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor Help!

I have taken my 07 Tahoe to be serviced for the tire pressure sensor going off intermintently and it still not fixed. I has been taken to service 4 times and all four times the guy says he reset the TPMS. I even took it to two different dealers. What will it take for it to go away?

You may have a bad receiver.....There is a recall on certain VIN's that need the replacement receiever for TPS and remote entry.

I had the same thing and now they ordered me a new one under warranty.

like he said-
when i read your post- 1st thing that came to mind was the receiver.
theres been some issues with Impalas remote keyless entry, remote engine start, and the tire pressure monitor. the current fix is to replace some parts....

In this case a faulty receiver is most likely not the root cause of the problem but it may cure the display errors due to the reprogramming that is necessary after the RCDLR is replaced.

Instead of insisting on a replacement receiver I would have the dealer reprogram the RCDLR with the latest software update available through TIS2WEB and then reset the low tire pressure threshold to the door jamb placard spec's with Tech2 and relearn the TPMS sensors with the gun and that should solve the problem.

Go thru the manual and try to relearn the positions....if that doesn't work the receiver may be bad.. I took mine in for the alarm and when the put in the new reciever(so they say) the TPS stayed on. They finally figured it out by replacing the reciever again and it works fine now.
