Call me crazy, but I am almost sure my last 07 tahoe had a little storage compartment on either the left or right side next to the 3rd row seats in the rear cargo area above the wheel wells? I think it had a twist **** to open it. Sure enough, this one doesnt have it. The manual says something about if equipped. What determines if you have this cubby or not?

Am I crazy and thinking of a different vehicle we have had? I am 99% sure I am right on track though.

 

If it was on the left rear corner and you didn't have power hatch, then you might have had one. I know on mine with the power hatch, there's not enuf room. Never checked one w/o power hatch so can't tell you for sure.

 

Yep, that is it! Thanks! I couldnt figure out why I didnt have it. This one has a lot more options than the last one.

 

Didn't know there was storage with no power lift gate.

I'll take the lift gate over storage though, so no complaints.

 

I finally got a Craftsman tool bag and put all the tools, trailer hitch stuff, etc in it.

 

I use the storage area where the jack is (Under the cup holders in the 3rd row drivers side). Its not huge, but big enough for hitch stuff and the DVD headphones.

 

Ok I'll do it, YOUR CRAZY..........confirmed, no power hatch you get a cubby, power hatch no cubby........W/B Sir.
