Rear latch release doesn't pop
I've just replaced both struts for the rear glass (tailgate style rear) and thought that would allow the latch release on the front dash to pop the glass enough to unlock it (otherwise I always need the key to open it).
Anyway, the front control activates the unlock, and if someone is there to pull, it opens.
My question is, is there a small spring or something (small spring somewhere?) that is missing to push the window out just a bit when the front control is activated?

Not sure what year you have but on the NBS, there isn't a glass release on the dash but the release on the hatch just unlocks the glass and then you can raise it. Same w/ the key fob release. On the 2004, when you push the release on the rear hatch, the glass unlocks and then you can raise it.
I don't think the gas struts will raise the glass w/o starting the glass manually due to the leverage design.

No remote - did they offer that in '93? Well, maybe that thing on the glass is the remote antenna - but I don't have them.
The back can be unlocked by using the oval key - turn to the side - lift the glass (no sound like you get when the front release is used).
I'll have to look for a detailed list of the parts for the rear gate to see if something is missing - with 318K it would be no surprise.
