Default Rear Pinion Seal

Hello- Would a rear pinion seal be covered under the powertrain warranty for a 2015 Suburban? Thank you,

Did you read the warranty? It goes into great detail about what is covered and what isn't. If you lost it, you can get it on http://my.gm.com/
You probably shouldn't ask other people since it might vary by state.

Yes, I have read warranty and still have the question. It indicates that "gaskets and seals" are covered, but my dealer is saying this one is not covered, and I'm not sure why. Was hoping someone on this forum would know. Thank you,

A pinion seal sounds like a seal to me. I would demand an explanation from the dealer why it's not covered. Seems to me that if it's not covered then there would be an exception for it stated in the warranty. If the dealer isn't being cooperative then go straight to GM corporate.

phone another dealer. Provide your vin and they can run the part number. the system will tell them if its covered without you needing to drive to the dealership.
